Eastman Young Children's Chorus
Karie Templeton, director of the Eastman Children's Chorus, and I founded the Eastman Young Children's Chorus in 2006. She had always envisioned a program for grades 2-4 that would feed into a 5-8 middle school group and then a high school chorale. Eastman New Horizons Choir From 2007-2009, I conducted the Eastman New Horizons Choir. This was one of the most meaningful teaching experiences of my career. Getting to conduct a group of older adults opened my eyes to the many joys and importance of recreational music making. Being at Eastman during these years, gave me access to phenomenal musicians with whom I collaborated often, like my accompanist and arranging sidekick, Brian Zeller. Here are some selected recordings.
